Refund Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This Refund Policy outlines the general principles for fee refunds related to SVKM's NMIMS Centre for Distance & Online Education (NMIMS CDOE) programs. Specific refund terms may vary by program, intake batch, and payment type. The official NMIMS CDOE admission letter and fee receipt shall prevail in case of any discrepancy.
1. Scope
This policy applies to program fees paid directly to NMIMS CDOE for Online MBA, Executive MBA, Online BBA, Online B.Com, and related online/distance programs. Enquiry submissions on this website do not involve any payment and therefore do not qualify for refunds.
2. Application & Registration Fees
Application fees, registration charges, and processing fees paid at the time of admission are generally non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in the official admission policy for a specific intake.
3. Program Fee Refunds
Refund eligibility for program/tuition fees depends on:
- Date of admission confirmation and fee payment
- Date of formal withdrawal request submitted in writing
- Whether academic sessions or learning materials have commenced
- Applicable NMIMS CDOE refund schedule for the enrolled batch
Partial refunds may be applicable within a defined cancellation window after admission. After this period, refunds may not be available or may be subject to deductions as per institutional rules.
4. Typical Refund Timeline (Indicative)
The following is an indicative framework. Actual deductions and timelines are defined in the official NMIMS CDOE policy at the time of admission:
- Before program commencement: Refund may be processed after deducting application/registration charges.
- Within initial cancellation window: Partial refund of program fee may be allowed as per the published schedule.
- After commencement of classes/access: Refunds are typically not permitted, except in exceptional cases approved by the institution.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Application and registration fees
- Examination fees already scheduled or paid
- Study material or portal access charges once activated
- Any third-party payment gateway or bank processing charges
6. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request, the student must:
- Submit a written withdrawal/refund request to NMIMS CDOE admissions office
- Include student name, enrollment/application number, program name, and reason for withdrawal
- Attach copy of fee receipt and payment proof
- Await verification and approval from the admissions team
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method or via bank transfer, typically within 15–30 working days after approval, subject to banking timelines.
7. Rejected Applications
If an application is rejected due to ineligibility or incomplete documentation before admission is confirmed, applicable fees (excluding non-refundable components) may be refunded as per NMIMS CDOE policy.
8. Force Majeure & Special Cases
In exceptional circumstances such as medical emergencies or other valid reasons, refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be required.
9. Chargebacks & Disputes
Students are encouraged to contact NMIMS CDOE directly to resolve fee-related concerns before initiating chargebacks or payment disputes with banks. Unauthorised chargebacks may affect admission status.
10. Policy Updates
NMIMS CDOE reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy. Updated terms will be published on this page. Enrolled students should refer to the refund terms applicable at the time of their admission.
